Tamil culture is the culture of the Tamil people. Tamil culture is rooted in the arts and ways of life of Tamils in India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore and across the globe. The Tamil architecture is one of the most ancient and best architecture in the world. Tamil architecture is the style and techniques developed in the Tamil regions over thousands years. Although ancient Tamil architecture included houses, palaces and public buildings, the surviving ancient signatory buildings are temples. Two important collections of these ancient monuments have been recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.
